California-born rapper Kendrick Lamar Duckworth known professionally as Kendrick Lamar just released a new track tagged “Purple Hearts” with fellow country rapper Ghostface Killah and singer Summer Walker, the song is the final track on the first disc and 9th track on Kendrick Lamar’s latest album tagged, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers”.
The title alludes to the Purple Heart is a military decoration awarded by the four branches of the US armed forces to those are wounded or killed in service. The instrumental employs heavy drums and synth elements which serve as a lush foundation backdropping lyrics about love, spirituality, and drugs
