‘What’s your problem” is by Canadian singer Tate McRae, and serves as a bonus track off McRae’s debut album “i used to think i could fly”.
According to Tate, the song serves as a reminiscent of the previous track on the album. She said “…..It’s crazy, because I wrote “hate myself”, and then a couple months later, I came to the realization where I was like, ‘Oh, so this is why I was blaming myself—because he made me hate myself!’ So when I was writing this song, I put in the line ‘You made me hate myself just so that I can love you more.’ It was really cool to just talk about the perspective of a manipulator and how that can really mess you up mentally”.
On TikTok tate mcrae has said “it one of the sassiest songs I’ve written” and has teased it multiple times as well. this song was released on May 27th, 2022 under RCA record.
The record was produced by Jackson Foote & KBeaZy. Written by Kinetics, Jackson Foote & Tate McRae.
Quotable Lyrics:
What’s your problem?
You think that you’re a God
You came and fucked my life up when you knew that I was lost
What’s your problem?
I’m crying on the floor
You made me hate myself just so that I would love you more
I don’t give a fuck about you like I used to
Back when I really thought I knew you
Back when I’d die not to lose you
